The
purpose of their review was to determine if you are in compliance with corrective action
orders and directives. Compliance with corrective action orders and directives is a
requirement for reimbursement of cleanup costs from the Cleanup Fund.
As a result of their review, it.has been determined that additional work needs to be done.
The full extent of diesel contaminated soil and groundwater has not been determined.
In order to remediate the diesel contamination, you must fully characterize its limits. For
cases such as yours, the Cleanup Fund is providing responsible parties with an
opportunity to come into compliance. You must take positive concrete steps to come
into compliance.
Accordingly, you are directed to submit a workplan to this office within 90 calendar days
from the date of this letter. The workplan shall include:
1. A proposal to further define diesel contaminated soil under former single
wall tanks and piping.
2. A permit application for soil borings and/or groundwater monitoring wells.
3.
A work schedule/time frame for completion of required work.
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
