Quarterly Report - Third Quarter 2005 <br /> SHOCKEY AND SONS TRUCKING <br /> ' 850 Milgeo Avenue, Ripon, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr. Lee Shockey, Advanced GeoEnvironrnental, Inc. (AGE) has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for 850 Milgeo Avenue, Ripon, California (site). The scope of work included <br /> quarterly monitoring of four of the four accessible ground water monitoring wells and free product <br /> remediation. The location of the site and its surroundings are depicted in Figure 1. Monitoring and <br /> ozone sparge wells, probe boring locations and structures on the site are shown in Figure 2. <br /> This report has been prepared in accordance with the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board(CVRWQCB)guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites. Site <br /> history and findings from previous investigations and previous monitoring events at the site are <br /> summarized in Appendix A. Quarterly ground water monitoring data from April 1996 to the present <br /> ' is summarized in Tables 1 and 2 of this report. <br /> 1 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> ' On 17 August 2005,AGE conducted quarterly'ground water monitoring of monitoring wells MW-1 i through MW-4; monitoring well MW-5 was not accessible. All field work was performed in <br /> accordance with guidelines developed by the CVRWQCB forthe investigation of UST sites.Ground <br /> ' water monitoring activities conformed to guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> 2.1. FREE PRODUCT REMEDIATION <br /> ' On 17 August 2005,free product odor and slight visual sheen was noted in monitoring well MW-4. <br /> The product was recovered using a disposable bailer. Six volumes of water were purged using a <br /> disposable bailer and stored on-site. <br /> ' On 30 August 2005 additional observations were performed on monitoring well MW-4. An <br /> . g <br /> immeasurable amount of free product was recovered using a disposable bailer and 1.5 gallons of <br /> ' water was bailed off and stored on-site.Additionally,a sock and carriage filter system was installed <br /> in well MW-4, extending 36 inches from the bottom of the well. <br /> ' On 07 October 2005, visual inspection of the sock noted as dark and oily,but free product was not <br /> present. Interface probe did not function properly. <br /> ' On 25 October 2005, visual inspection noted dark spots-on the sock, but free product was not <br /> . present. <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc. <br /> 1 <br />
