1
' 27 December 2004
. AGE-NC Project No. 95-0185
' Page 3 of 4
I
j 3.1. GROUND WATER GRADIENT AND FLOW DIRECTION
During the September 2004 sampling event, the depth to ground water ranged from 28.02 feet
(MW-3) to 28.51 feet (MW-1) below casing grade; however, the depth to ground water at well
MW-1 (28.51 feet) was affected by the presence of free product; the depth was recalculated
(28.45 feet)utilizing the measured thickness of free product (0.08 ft) in well MW-l:
Dw=Dm - (tg * dgldw}
' Dw=Corrected depth to water
Dm =Measured depth to water(28.51 feet)
tg=Total thickness of free product (-0.08 feet)
dg=Density of free product(gasoline at—0.75 gm/ml)
dW=Density of water(-1.0 gm/ml)
' The calculated ground water elevation ranged from 31.32 feet(MW-1)to 32.12 feet(MW-3)above
mean sea level (MSL). The ground water flow was inferred to be towards the east at a gradient of
0.008 ft/ft(Figure 3).
3.2. LABORATORY RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-d, TPH-g, BTEX compounds and fuel additives were not detected in the analyzed samples.
Current and previous analytical results are summarized in Tables 2 and 3. The laboratory report
(CTEL Project No. CT214-0409148),quality control/quality assurance(QA/QC)reports and chain
of custody forms are included in Appendix C. GeoTracker confirmation pages of the submitted
' laboratory electronic deliverable format(EDF) files and depth to water measurements are provided
in Appendix D.
' 4.0. CONCLUSIONS
' Based on the data collected during the September 2004 monitoring period, AGE concludes:
• A measured 0.08 ft of free product was recovered in well MW-1 during the September 2004
' monitoring event. Free product has been present intermittently in wells MW-1 and MW-4
since the June 2002 ground water monitoring event. Well MW-4 was inaccessible this
quarter, so it was not monitored.
1
i
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc.
