1 <br /> ' 20 October 2003 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 95-0185 <br /> ' Page 3 of 6 <br /> 2 3 COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES <br /> Ground water samples were collected from the purged wells using the dedicated, disposable-plastic <br /> bailers,however,ground water was not collected from well MW-4 during the May monitonng event <br /> at the request of the EHD Each water sample was transferred Into three 40-m1 volatile organic <br /> analysis (VOA) vials containing 0 5 ml 18% HCI as a sample preservative and one 1-liter amber <br /> 1 bottle without preservative The samples were then labeled and placed in a chilled container for <br /> transport under chain-of-custody to Cal Tech Environmental Laboratories (CTEL) of Paramount <br /> California, a California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified analytical laboratory <br /> 1 All water samples were analyzed for <br /> • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d) in <br /> accordance with EPA Method 8015 Modified and <br /> • Benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylene (BTEX) and methyl tertiary butyl ether <br /> ' (MTBE) , tertiary butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether(DIPE), ethyl tert butyl ether(ETBE), <br /> tert amyl methyl ether(TAME) In accordance with EPA Method 8260 Modified <br /> • 3.0.
