1• Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2001 <br /> Former Mel Bokides Petroleum - Manteca <br /> ' 983 Moffat Boulevard, Manteca, California <br /> ' 10. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Nick Bokides of Mel Bokides Petroleum, <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE), has prepared this quarterly report for the site located at <br /> 983 Moffat Boulevard, Manteca, California (Figure 1) This report presents the results of ground <br /> water monitoring activities conducted during October 2001 <br /> Ground water monitoring is being conducted at the site as required by the Central Valley Regional <br /> ' Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) This report has been prepared in accordance with <br /> guidelines issued by the Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB) Tri-Regional Board Staff <br /> Recommendations for Preliminary Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sates dated <br /> ' 10 August 1990 <br /> Background information and results of prior investigations at the site are in AGE's Preliminary <br /> Investigation and Evaluation Report(PIER), dated 09 March 1999, and Additional Sate Assessment <br /> Report, dated 21 March 2001 Ground water data from all previous quarterly monitoring events are <br /> included in the tables of this report <br /> 2.0 PROCEDURES <br /> ' On 30 October 2001, ground water monitoring for the last quarter 2001 was performed at the site <br /> The ground water monitoring activities include measurement of ground water levels and the <br /> collection of ground water samples from each of the site monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2,MW-3, <br /> MW-4,MW-5,and MW-6)(Table 1) Ground water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined <br /> in Additional Site Assessment and Ground Water Extraction Pilot Test Work Plan, dated 31 May <br /> ' 2000, and conform to ground water monitoring guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (EHD) <br /> 1 <br /> 2 1 GROUND WATER DEPTH MEASUREMENT AND PURGING <br /> ' During the October 2001 monitoring event, depths to ground water were measured at each of the <br /> above noted wells from the tops of the well casings to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solinst water <br /> ' level meter Ground water elevations in each well at the site were calculated by subtracting the <br /> measured depth to ground water from the surveyed well casing elevations(Table 1) Ground water <br /> monitoring wells were purged using a disposable, dedicated plastic-bailer Approximately, four to <br /> ' six gallons of water were removed from monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6, a minimum of <br /> three casing-water volumes per well Temperature, pH and conductivity of the purged water were <br /> measured at regular purge-volume intervals with an Oakton water analyzer Monitoring well field <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmentat,Inc <br />
