Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2001 <br /> ' Former Mel Bokides Petroleum - Manteca <br /> 983 Moffat Boulevard,Manteca, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> In accordance with the request of Mr Nick Bokides of Mel Bokides Petroleum, Advanced <br /> ' GeoEnvironmental, Inc , (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the site located at 983 Moffat <br /> Boulevard, Manteca, California (site) <br /> The scope of work was to monitor and sample ground water at the site to assess the lateral extent of <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted ground water The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1 <br /> A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> Background information and results of prior investigations at the site were included in an AGE <br /> ' document titled Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation Report (PIER) dated 09 March 1999, <br /> Additional Site Assessment Report, dated 21 March 2001 and subsequent quarterly monitoring <br /> reports Quarterly monitoring data from January 2000 to the present is summarized in Tables 1 <br /> ' through 3 in this report <br /> All field work procedures and reporting requirements are in accordance with guidelines established <br /> wby the Central Valley Region of the Regional Water Quality Control Board (CV-RWQCB) and by <br /> the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) for <br /> ' subsurface investigation of underground storage tank(UST) system releases <br /> ' 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 29 March 2001, a ground water monitoring and sampling event was performed at the site on <br /> ' wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, MW-6 and EW-1 Ground water monitoring <br /> procedures for the site were outlined in Additional Site Assessment and Ground Water'Extraction <br /> Pilot Test Work Plan, dated 31 May 2000, and conform to ground water monitonng guidelines <br /> ' issued by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division <br /> (PHS-EHD) <br /> ' 2 1 GROUND WATER DEPTH MEASUREMENT AND PURGING <br />- ' On 29 March 2001, a Sol'inst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in <br /> each well relative to the top of the well casing After ground water depth measurements were <br /> collected,monitoring wells were purged using a pre-cleaned, two-stage submersible pump <br /> ' even gallons of and eight gallons of water a minimum of three casing-water volumes per <br /> Seventy g � g ( <br /> well) were evacuated from extraction well EW-1 and monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6, <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
