Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2006 <br /> Former MEL BOKIDES PETROLEUM -MANTECA <br /> ' 983 Moffat Boulevard, Manteca, California <br /> ' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Nick Bokides of Mel Bokides Petroleum,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc <br /> ' (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for 983 Moffat Boulevard, Manteca, California(the site) <br /> The location of the site and the surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1, structures, former <br /> underground storage tank (UST) locations, and soil boring and monitoring well locations are <br /> illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> Ground water monitoring is being conducted at the site as required by the Central Valley Regional <br /> ' Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) This report presents the results of ground water <br /> monitoring activities conducted in February 2006, and has been prepared in accordance with <br /> guidelines issued by the Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB)Tri-Regional Board Staff <br /> ' Recommendationsfor Preliminary Investigations and Evaluation of Underground Tank Sites, dated <br /> 10 August 1990 <br /> ' Background information and results of prior investigations at the site are in AGE's Preliminary <br /> Investigation and Evaluation Report(PIER), dated 09 March 1999,and Additional Site Assessment <br /> ' • Report, dated 21 March 2001 Ground water data from previous quarterly monitoring events are <br /> included in the tables of this report <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> ' On 08 February 2006, ground water monitoring for the first quarter of 2006 was performed at the <br /> site The ground water monitoring activities included measurement of ground water levels and the <br /> collection of ground water samples from on-site monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-8 Ground <br /> water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined in Additional Site Assessment and Ground <br /> Water Extraction Pilot Test Work Plan, dated 31 May 2000, and conform to ground water <br /> monitoring guidelines issued by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) <br /> 2 1 GROUND WATER DEPTH MEASUREMENT AND PURGING <br /> event the depth to round water was measured in all wells from the <br /> During the February monitoring p g <br /> ' top of the well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot utilizing a Solmst water level meter Ground water <br /> elevation in each well at the site was calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water <br /> from the surveyed well casing elevation (Table 1) <br /> ' After the depth to ground water measurements were collected, the wells were purged using a <br /> • dedicated,disposable plastic bailer A minimum of three casing water volumes(approximately 6 5 to <br /> ' Advanced GeoEnvironmentak,Inc <br />
