Upon approval by the PHS/EHD, the clean stockpiled soil will be used to backfill the <br /> excavation. Backfill procedures will be arranged by representatives of D. A. Parrish & Sons. <br /> On September 2, 1994, a representative of GeoAudit collected eight samples.:from the <br /> impacted stockpile. Samples AP-1 to AP-8 were collected at regular intervals along the <br /> stockpile. Tile. samples were transported under chain-of-custody to McCampbell Analytical, <br /> Inc. (MAI). The samples were composited 2:1 at the laboratory and analyzed for TPH as <br /> gasoline and BTE&X. <br /> "N <br /> TPH as gasoline was detected in composite sample AP-3/AP--7 at a concentration of 4.4 <br /> parts per million (ppm). BTE&X were also detected in this sample. Xylenes were detected <br /> in sample AP-2/AP-6 at a concentration of 0.006 ppm. No petroleum hydrocarbons were <br /> detected in samples AP-1/AP-5 or AP-4/AP-8. The laboratory report is included in <br /> Attachment B. <br /> Parrish & Sons propose to aerate the remaining stockpiled soil and resample in November <br /> 1994.
