INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Me Russell Chapin of Chapin Brothers Investments, Inc , Advanced <br /> GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Additional Site Assessment Report of field activities <br /> conducted at 1766 Monte Diablo Avenue, Stockton, California The site setting is illustrated in <br /> Figure 1 Structures and well locations on or near the site are illustrated in Figure 2 <br /> Soil samples were collected in November and December 2003 to determine the effectiveness of site <br /> corrective action and to aid in determination of the remaining hydrocarbon mass impacting soil <br /> beneath the on-site garage building Site history and findings from previous investigations and <br /> monitoring events at the site are summarized in Problem Assessment Report (PAR) prepared by <br /> Science&Engineering Analysis Corporation(SEACOR)dated 22 July 1994,and in Appendix A of <br /> this report <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> On 21 November, 24 November and 01 December 2003, soil probe borings were advanced beneath <br /> the on-site garage building, an area that had not been sampled during previously site investigations <br /> Soil sampling activities were perfonned in accordance with guidelines established by Central Valley <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) and were performed in accordance with the <br /> Additional Site Assessment Work Plan, dated 17 November 2003, which was approved by the San <br /> Joaquin County-Environmental Health Department (EHD) by letter dated 20 November 2003 A <br /> drilling pen-nit (SR0036126) was issued by the EHD on 20 November 2003, and Mr Harlin Knoll <br /> of the EHD provided on-site inspections <br /> 2 1 PROBE BORINGS AND SAMPLING <br /> Five soil probe borings(CBG through CB 10)were advanced at a 30 degree angle beneath the on-site <br /> garage building, to a vertical depth of 34 feet below surface grade (bsg), utilizing a van-mounted <br /> Geoprobe 5400 direct-push probing unit equipped with 1 25-inch diameter probing rods Probe soil <br /> borings CB6 and CB7 were advanced under the north face of the building, and borings CB8, CB9 <br /> and CB 10 were advanced under the west face of the building, locations of the soil probe borings are <br /> illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> I <br /> Continuous soil samples were retrieved using a Geoprobe four-foot macro core barrel loaded with <br /> one four-foot acetate sleeve Soil samples were preserved by covering both ends of a separated, <br /> • approximately 6-inch portion of the acetate sleeve with oil probe boring location, depth, time,date <br /> and sampler's initials <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
