QUARTERLY MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES
' 31 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 19 April 1995-the water level in each well was measured relative to the top of the casing
' using a Solinst water level meter (Table 1) Free product was encountered in MW-1 and
MW-4 An interface probe, was used to measure the free product thickness
After water levels were measured, approximately b gallons of water (a minimum of three
well volumes) were evacuated from MW-2 and MW-3 using pre-cleaned PVC bailers
' - Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at one-gallon intervals using an ICM
model 52200 water analyzer Stabilization data and field logs are included in Appendix A
Purge water was stored in 55-gallon drums The drums were stored adjacent to the site on
J property owned by Mr Russell Chapin
_ - 3 2 FREE PRODUCT REMOVAL
A disposable plastic bailer was used to removed free product from MW-1 and MW-4
' Approximately two gallons of water-product mixture were removed from each well and
placed in a 55-gallon drums -
