f
23 November 1998
AGE-NC Project No 95-0103
1 5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data collected over the quarter at the site, AGE recommends
• Continual operation of the SVE/IAS system addressing the portions of the site with residual
hydrocarbon-impacted soil-vapor and ground water.
• Continued monthly and quarterly ground water monitoring The next ground water
monitoring event is scheduled for December 1998
' After the sampling event in December, abandon well MW-7, located east of the site, if the
analytical results are not detect for the analytes of concern for the samples from the well, and
' the PHS-EHD agrees The adjacent property will be sold within the next two quarters
• During the next quarterly sampling event, collect water samples from vapor wells VW-2,
VE-3, VE-5 and VE-6
' During next sampling event, analyze water samples from wells MW-3, MW-5 and MW-4
for select and general bio-enumeration to determine the biotic activity on-site and off-site
This data is necessary for consideration of additional corrective actions to mitigate or treat
the increasing hydrocarbon concentrations in the off-site areas
' Based on the data from the December sampling event, prepare a work plan addendum to treat
the off-site hydrocarbons in the areas of well MW-3 and MW-5
' 6.0. LIMITATIONS
' Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
' analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the geologic/hydrogeologic `
conditions at the site for the purpose of flus investigation have been made from review of reports
prepared by previous consultants and AGE, and a limited number of available data points (e g,
' ground water and vapor samples collected from monitoring wells and extraction wells) Subsurface
conditions may vary away from these data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made
as to the professional recommendations contained in this report
1
Advanced QuEnwranmental,Inc
