PROCEDURES
' Ground water monitoring activities were performed iii accordance with guidelines established by the '
San Joaquin County,Public Health Services - Envirorimental'Health Division (PHS-EHD) and
Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) 'and were performed in
accordance with the approved work plan addendums variously dated 07 April 1997, 10 May 1999
' and 05 July 1999
' 2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES '
Oil 02 November 2000, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6, and vapor wells VE-1 and VE-6, relative to the tops of
the well casings (Table 1)
After recording the depth to ground water measurements, monitoring wells MW-1 through N W-6
and vapor wells VE-1 and VE-6 were purged using a two-stage purge pump A minimum of three
casing water-volumes of water were, removed from near the top of the water column ineach well
TernperatureppH and conductivity of purged ground water were measured at two to five-gallon
intervals,as appropriate, using a Hydac water analyzer 'Dissolved oxygen concentrations in ground
f
water were measured using a YSI-55 dissolved oxygen meter
7
The purge pump was washed in an Alconox solution and rinsed with tap water prior to purging each
well Purged water was stored in 55-gallon drums on the site Field measurements of purged ground
• water are included in Appendix A
r ,
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
i
