INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Russell Chapin,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
Quarterly Report of field activities conducted during the third quarter of 2000 at 1766 Monte Diablo .
' Avenue,Stockton,California The site setting is illustrated in Figure l Structures and well locations
on or near the site are illustrated in Figure 2 Quarterly ground water monitoring activities were
conducted on 31 July 2000
1 ,
Background information and a description of prior investigations at the site are included in the
' Problem Assessment Report (PAR) prepared by Science & Engineering Analysis Corporation
(SEACOR)dated 22 July 1994 and Quarterly Report-June and July 1999 dated 08 September 1999
Quarterly monitoring data from January 1994 to,the present is summarized in Tables 1 and 2 in this
report
2.0. PROCEDURES
Groundwater monitoring activities were performed in accordance with guidelines established by the
San Joaquin County Public Health Services-Environmental Health Division(PHS-EHD)and Central
Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)and were performed in accordance with
the approved Work Plan Addendums variously dated 07 April 1997, 10 May 1999 and 05 July 1999
1 ,
n,
' 21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 31 July 2000, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to groundwater in
monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6,and vapor wells VE-1 and VE-6,relative to the tops of the
' well casings (Table 1)
Z I
' After recording the depth to ground water measurements, monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-6
and vapor wells VE-1 and VE-6 were purged using a two-stage'purge pump A minimum of three
well-volumes of water were removed from near the top of the water column in each well
Temperature, pH and conductivity of purged ground water were measured at two to five-gallon
intervals,as appropriate, using a Hydac water analyzer Dissolved oxygen concentrations in ground
water were measured using a YSI-55 dissolved oxygen meter
The purge pump was washed in an Alconox solution and rinsed with tap water prior to purging each
well Purged water was stored in 55-gallon drums on the site Field measurements of purged ground
' water are included in Appendix A
Advanced GeoEnvironmentat,Inc
r ,
1 ,i
