INTRODUCTION
1
At the request of Mr Russell Chapin,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this
Quarterly Report of field activities conducted at 1766 Monte Diablo Avenue, Stockton, California
a ' The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and well locations on or near the site are
' illustrated in Figure 2 Quarterly ground water monitoring activities were conducted on 06 October
1999
i
4
' Site history and findings from previous investigations and monitoring eNents at the site are
summarized in Problem Assessment Report (PAR) prepared by Science & Engineering Analysis `
Corporation(SEACOR)dated 22 July 1994 and in the Quarterly Report- September 1995, prepared
' by AGE, dated 03 October 1995
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
1 '
Ground water monitoring and soil sampling activities were performed in accordance with guidelines'
'• established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - Environmental Health Division"
(PHS-EHD,) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRW'QCB) and were,
performed in accordance with the approved Work Plan Addendums, dated 07 April 1997, 10 May
1999 and 05 July 1999
2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 06 October 1999, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
monitoring we]Is MW-1 through MW-6, and vapor wells VSE-I and VE-6,relative to the tops of the
well casings, (Table 1)
' After recording the depth to ground water measurements, monitoring wells MW-1, MW-3 through
'
MW-5 and vapor well VE-1 were purged using a two-stage purge pump A minimum of three well-
volumes of water was removed from near the top of the water in each well Temperature, pH and
conductivity of purged ground water were measured at one-,three- or seven-gallon intervals using
an ICM model 52200 water analyzer Dissolved oxygen concentrations in ground water were
' measured using a YSI-55 dissolved oxygen meter
1
' The purge pump was washed in an Alconox solution and rinsed with tap water prior to purging each
well Purged water was stored in 55-gallon drums on the site Field measurements of purged ground°
water,are included in Appendix B
1
Advanced CeoEnvironmental,Inc
1
