1 <br /> 1 <br /> ' April 10, 1994 <br /> GE 004-010 <br /> Mr Russell Chapin <br /> 1206 N Carlton Avenue <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Subject Soil Remediation Report <br /> Chapin Brothers, Inc <br /> 1766 Monte Diablo Avenue <br /> Stockton, California 95203 <br /> Dear Mr Chapin <br /> ' At the request of Mr Russell Chapin of Chapin Brothers Inc , Grayland Environmental (GE) has <br /> prepared the following Soil Remediation Report for the property (site) located on Beyer Lane in <br /> ' Stockton, California (Figure 1) <br /> BACKGROUND AND PREVIOUS WORK <br /> ' Jim Thorpe Oil of Stockton, California removed one 550-gallon waste oil, two 4,000-gallon <br /> unleaded gasoline,and two 8,000-gallon unleaded gasoline underground storage tanks, and product <br /> ' delivery lines from the property located at 1766 Monte Diablo Avenue in Stockton, California on <br /> August 4, 1993 Three additional sand-filled tanks with smaller capacities were discovered and <br /> removed during the tank removal operation A total of six soil samples were collected from beneath <br /> ' the gasoline storage tanks at depths of 13 and 14 ft by Walsh&Associates, Inc under the direction <br /> of Ms Pamela Violett of San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SCEHD) <br /> ' Because of the apparent extent of subsurface contamination, only two of the six soil samples <br /> collected from beneath the gasoline storage tanks were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> as gasoline (TPHg)and the associated volatile organic compounds benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, <br /> and total xylene isomers (BTEX) The sample with the highest concentration TPHg was analyzed <br /> for soluble lead and ethylene dibromide (EDB) Laboratory analyses of the soil samples indicated <br /> 1 2731(WIL STREET DAVIS CALIFORNIA 951516 916 756 1441 <br /> GE 004010 srr 1 GRAYLAND ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> 1 <br />
