10 May 1999
. AGE-NC Project No. 95-0103
5.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on data collected over the quarter at the site, AGE recommends:
• Continued operation of the IAS system to supply oxygen to the previously detected
biodegrading micro-organisms on the site where residual hydrocarbon-impacted ground
water is present.
• Continued monthly and quarterly ground water monitoring. The next ground water
monitoring event is scheduled for June. During the next quarterly sampling event, collect
water samples from vapor wells VE-3, VE-5 and VE-6 and vapor well VW-2.
• Performance of confirmation soil sampling during the following quarter soil samples in
accordance with the work plan addendum dated I I February 1998. In addition, collect water
samples from off-site locations to assess the remaining mass of benzene.
• Abandon well MW-7 located east of the site.
9— 6.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluation of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation have been made from review of reports
prepared by previous consultants and AGE, and a limited number of available data points (e.g.,
ground water and soil gas samples collected from monitoring wells and extraction wells). Subsurface
conditions may vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made
as to the professional recommendations contained in this report.
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
