All workers, PPE, sampling equipment, and heavy equipment leaving the exclusion area <br /> will be decontaminated to prevent the spread of hazardous materials. All workers will wash <br /> hands, arms and face after removing PPE and prior to leaving the site Disposable items will be <br /> bagged for disposal along with other hazardous wastes removed from property Sampling <br /> equipment will be decontaminated using a three-step decontamination wash. (1) wash with <br /> alconox and water, (2) rinse with tap water. and(3) rinse with deionized water. Support vehicles <br /> are to be left outside the exclusion area so that decontamination will not be necessary All heavy <br /> equipment will be steam cleaned prior to removal from the site There are no special emergency <br /> decontamination procedures anticipated for this project. <br /> EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> In the event of an emergency on site, the SSO will direct the course of action It may be <br /> necessary for the SSO to depend on the other on-site personnel for assistance. The SSO will call <br /> for emergency assistance if needed As soon as practical, the SSO will contact the PM and the <br /> HSO. All staff assigned to this protect will be briefed on the procedures and responsibilities for <br /> implementation.
