2
i
_ 28
GOLDEN GRAIN COMPANY
December 21, 1989
202/799-5045.06
Table 4 is a summary of the results of analyses of the
groundwater samples. Complete laboratory reports are contained
in Appendix IV. The highest levels of hydrocarbons were detected
in on-site wells, with 110,000 parts per billion (ppb) TPH--G and
23,000 ppb benzene in samples from MW-2. The only groundwater
samples in which organic lead and EDB were detected came from
MW-2, MW-5, and MW--7, all located on site. Lab results were used
to compile plume maps of TPH-as-gasoline (Figure 9) and benzene
(Figure 10) . The plume is well defined in all directions except
to the northeast. To complete the plume definition, an attempt
will be made to remove the obstruction and obtain a groundwater
sample from 14W-9. _
TABLE 4
SUMMARY or LABORATORY ANALYSES
OF GROUNDWATER
Sampled November 14 and 15, 1989
(in parts per billion (PPbl)
IF M
W EDB
 NZENE TPH-G+ ORGAI3YC LEAH200 53000 110,000 ND0.11100 52,000 NDND320 3,400 5.5900 17,000 100ND NDND 45 NDNDND ND ND NDND ND45 ND ND1ND NDNDNp N380ND NDn 1 500.02
Lim0.5
1—
*TPH-G = Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline
-.. --- ----- -- - - -
GliOUNUWATrR
e Tv CHNOLOGY.INC.
;.e
