v
r :
REVISED PROPOSED WORK PLAN
SUBSURFACE HYDROCARBON INVESTIGATION
MANTECA BEAN FACILITY
229 MOFFAT BOULEVARD
MANTECA, CALIFORNIA
June 2, 1989
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The proposed work plan presented in the Revi-ed Preliminary
Report (January 11, 1989) by Groundwater Technology, Inc. (GTI) ,
on behalf of Golden Grain Company, is here substantially revised
in response to a letter dated March 29, 1989 from Mr. Edward W.
James of the California State Regional Water Quality Control
Board to Mr. Steven Wulff of Golden Grain Company.
1
Based on a review of the drill logs and the results of a
hand pump test at the site, it was decided to install single
wells rather than nested or clustered pairs of wells. GTI's
investigation of the site will proceed in three steps:
1) A soil--vapor survey will be conducted to delineate the
extent of free product beneath the site.
2) Data from the soil-vapor survey will be used to choose
locations for four to seven soil borings. Three of the
GRouNDWATER
TECuNOLOCY.INC.
