The site manager wi.11 be responsible for removing or <br /> correcting visible hazards. <br /> 2. Whenever possible, a buddy system will be implemented <br /> to ensure that no one works alone on site. In situ- <br /> ations where a buddy system is not possible, personnel <br /> entering the site shall check Ain with the manager <br /> and/or the Project Manager before entering and upon <br /> leaving the site. <br /> 3. Eating, smoking, drinking, and/or application of <br /> cosmetics is prohibited on site. This minimizes the <br /> possibility of exposure to the petrochemicals via <br /> ingestion. <br /> 4. Personnel encountering atmospheres that contain a level <br /> of volatile organics greater than 1000 ppm at the site <br /> perimeter must cease drilling operations and notify the <br /> fire department. <br /> 5. An air-purifying respirator equipped with organic vapor <br /> cartridges must be worn as required by the Site Safety <br /> Officer, provided the level of oxygen is greater than <br /> 19.5 . <br /> 6 <br /> GROUNDWATER <br /> TECHNOLOGY.LNC. <br />
