The local topography is
relatively flat with approximate elevation changes of 5 ee per
I.: mile. The facility is located on recent alluvial deposits
associated with the San Joaquir. River. Specifically, previous
.
drilling encountered variable sand/silt mixtures to approximately
to 6 feet of moist clay. A well
24 feet below grade, overlying
graded, saturated sand was encountered below 28 feet to the
bottom of boring #7 (30 feet below grade) . During the drilling
(
t
of the eight snitoring wells depth to the water table at the
trm.
.i Site was 15 to 19 feet below surface. Recent monitoring
y (6/21/88) has encountered the water table at approximately 20 to
23 feet below surface.
Intermittent channelized creeks comprise the majority of
surface water in the area. These crtl-eks follow rectilinear
courses resulting from agricultural land development (Figure I) .
r Information concerning the location of adjacent structt_"es
and their utilities, lines, septic tanks or leach fields, or
underground public utilities is currently being prepared on a
urger scale base map. This mag will be included ire the Problem
;,,sessment Report, which is forthcoming.
WATER USAGE
Available v'ater-well drillers' reports pertinent to this
investigation were surveyed at the Sacramento office of the State
of California, Department of Water Resources (DWR) on July 5,
1988. DWR records indicate that in addition to the 8 monitor ng
6
is
tr
