characteristics, conduct additional chemical testing of
soil and groundwater samples.
3. Identify potential off site sources of contamination,
i,e. , old gasoline stations, neighbors with underground
storage tanks, etc.
4 . collect data from local area related to other wells or
recharge areas, surface water, storm drainage ponds, and
other natural or man-rade features which could affect
groundwater flat:-.
5. Resample the water in all of the wells in one and two
months for total gasoline hydrocarbons, benzene, toluene,
xylene, EDS and selected testing for total lead.
6. Drill one additional deeper baring/well to determine
whether or not contamination has entered lower aquifers.
once this additional information is collected, a comprehensive
evaluation of site conditions will be prepared. Based on that
evaluation, remedial actions to reduce the risk to public
health or the environment may be warranted.
5
