3.0 CONCLUSIONS, RECOMMENDATIONS AND PROJECT STATUS <br /> Since the three monitoring wells were last monitored in March 2001, the groundwater surface <br /> dropped an average of 1 97 feet, and the groundwater flow direction and gradient remained <br /> constant Over the three quarters of groundwater monitoring conducted at the site, the <br /> groundwater flow direction and gradient have remained consistent <br /> Concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons including TPH-as-diesel, TPH-as-gasoline and BTEX <br /> compounds in groundwater also remained relatively constant between March and June 2001 <br /> Since the wells were first sampled in December 2000, the concentrations of diesel hydrocarbons <br /> have remained relatively constant and the concentrations of gasoline hydrocarbons have <br /> declined moderately To date, the oxygenate compounds and 1,2-DCA have not been detected <br /> in the monitoring wells <br /> on the cumulative groundwater analytical results, the lateral and vertical extent of <br /> Based g Yt <br /> impacted groundwater has not been defined beneath the site As such, Ramage Environmental _ <br /> recommends that additional environmental corrective actions be completed at the site <br /> On June 5, 2001, PHSIEHD directed that a work plan be submitted to continue the investigation <br /> On July 16, 2001, Ramage Environmental submitted to PHSIEHD Work Plan, Additional Site <br /> Investigation This work plan is currently in regulatory review <br /> Ramage Environmental also recommends that the on-site wells continue to be monitored and <br /> sampled on a quarterly basis The next groundwater monitoring is scheduled for September <br /> 2001 <br /> 10 <br />
