SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
3rd Quarter 2003
The following conclusions were drawn from the results of the July and September 2003
investigations
• Target analytes were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in the soil samples
collected from pilot boring MW-5
• Ground water at the site was encountered at approximately 8 5 feet bsg Ground water flow
direction at the site was generally toward the northeast The ground water hydraulic gradient
was estimated to be 0 0009 foot/foot
• TPH-g was detected in sample MW-4,BTEX compounds were detected in samples MW-4
and MW-5,MTBE was detected in samples collected from wells MW-1 through MW-5,and
TBA were present in the sample from MW-5, located within the former UST area
• TPH-d was detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-4 and MW-5
However, there is no record of the use of diesel at the site The lab report indicates that the
TPH-d detections exhibit gasoline range compounds or have no recognizable pattern AGE
believes that the TPH-d detections are anomalous
• The concentrations of benzene detected in samples MW-4 and MW-5 were above the DHS's
Primary Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) of 10 gg/l in drinking water The
concentrations of MTBE detected in samples MW-1 through MW-4 were above the DHS's
Secondary MCL of 5 µg/1 in drinking water
4`' Quarter 2003
The following conclusions were drawn from the results of the December 2003 investigation
• Ground water at the site was encountered at approximately 7 7 feet bsg The prevailing
ground water flow direction at the site was generally toward the northeast The ground water
hydraulic gradient was estimated to be 0 009 foot/foot
• TPH-g was detected in samples MW-2 and MW-4,benzene,ethylbenzene and total xylenes
were detected in sample MW-4, and MTBE was detected in samples collected from wells
MW-2 and MW-4
• The concentration of benzene detected in the sample MW-4 was above the DHS's Primary
MCL of 10µg/1 in drinking water The concentrations of MTBE detected in samples MW-2
and MW-4 were above the DHS's Secondary MCL of 5 µg/1 in drinking water
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc
