Before drilling is initiated,
.i Underground Service Alert(USA) will be contacted to locate all buried utilities.
P
2.,1 Well I nye.ntgtnry
An inventory of existing domestic and municipal water supply we,Is near the site was initiated on '
February 22, I989, by a Delta representative at the Califorr•.a Department of Water Resources
(DWR). According to DWR records,25 wells have been identified within a half-mile radius of the
site. ,
B .g)24a(Sesringv and Hydrnnenlnav
Stockton lies within the Great Valley geomorphic province. The regionpl geology consist of
unconsolidated deposits of sand, silts, and clays which were deposited in fluvial and deltaic
i environments. l
A regional mep showing the ground water elevation contours for the unconfined aquifer for the fall
sof 1986 indicates ground water may be at a depth of 341 feet below the ground surface and generally
flows toward the southwest(DWR, 1986)...•
T =Subsurface geology at the site has been inferred from drillingand
sampling six soil borings B»I
through B-6 to a total depth'of.26 feet during a pre-tank pull site assessment. Soil borings B-I
through B-4 were drilled near the former underground storage tanks. Soil borings B-5 and B-6 were
ra drilled a:the location of the new underground storage tanks.
The soils consist of silty clay, clayey silt, and sandy slit. Silty clay was observed below the surface
r asphalt in all six soil borings and ranged between 2 and 10 feet thick.Soils underlying the silty clay
are primarily composed of clayey silt.with lenses of sandy silt and silty clay.
JDORINGS AND MQMMQBM,WELLS
3 3.1 &11 Barinas
-- - --
- - ( Five moil laarings will be drilled to characterize the subsurface geology and to evaluate the presence.. `-
w
of prtrolourn constituents in the soils at the site.
