Seven soil samples were Obtained <br /> f,-'sm the bottom of the excavation and sent to Eureka Laborawries, Inc., for chemical analysis of <br /> benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,and xylenes(BTEX),total petroleum hydrocarbons TPH ethylene <br /> ( ), ylene <br /> dibromide(EDS),and organic lead. The results indicated the presence of petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> 8 in the soils at a depth of IS feet. Approximately 150 cubic yards of soil and backfill were excavated <br /> front the taP of the former tank location and <br /> transported to Sacramento City Dump on December 27, <br /> 1988. for disposal. Approximately ISO cubic yards of additional soil and backfill were excavated <br /> from the former tank excavation and stockpiled on site..Fifty cubic yards Cf soil and backfill were <br /> y excavated fspm the product line trenches for a total volume of 200 cubic yards. This soil was <br /> y <br /> � transported on.February 17, 1989, to Forward Landfill in Stockton, California, for disposal, <br /> is Excavation of the new tank lacataon rc <br /> quired the removal of approximately 80o cubic yards of soil <br /> which was designated as being free of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents. Four hundred cubir, <br /> yams of soil was placed in the former tan;;excavation and 400 cubic yards of soil was <br /> transported <br /> to Forward Landfill in Stockton,California for disposal during the week of January I, 1989. <br /> r <br /> o Dena Environmental Consultants,Inc.(Delta),is hereby submitting the Tank Closure Reporr for the , <br /> M Shell Service Station located at 7700 Moreland Court in Stockton, California <br /> (Figure I). This <br /> investigation was undertaken to evaluate the condition of the soils beneath the underground storage <br /> -.A teaks after excavation,and to observe the excavation of the new tank location. <br /> 5 <br /> On December 27, I988,three underground storage tanks were exposed and removed from the above- ' <br /> �, referenced site.
