Included are laboratory
results on a sample collected from the site's water supply well, the well location, the fire hydrant
location,and a discussion of a seepage pit permitted on August 31, 2970.
On November & 1989, Delta Environmental Consultants Inc. (Delta), collected a ground ester
sample from the site water supply well. The location of the well is shown on Figure 1. The sample
was collected from a spigot located adjacent to the well head and submitted to a State of California
certified laboratory for analysis of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline by U.S. Environmental
Protection Agency(EPA)Method 8013,halogenated volatile organics by EPA Method 8010,aromatic
volatile organics by EPA Method 8020;1,2-dibromoethane and 1,2-dibromo-3-chloropropane by EPA
Method 544, and organic lead by California Luft Manual, 12/87. The laboratory data sheets are
Y enclosed All parameters were below detection limits.
The fire hydrant location is shown on Figure 1. A copy of a septic system permit on file at the
County is also enclosed. The penait issued on August 31, 1970,was for a seepage pit to be installed
at the site. The proposed location of the pit shown on the enclosed sketch map included with the
permit. Apparently,it was designed to serve as an infiltration basin for drainage from the service bay
7r of the station. It is unknown whether or not the seepage--git was_.eger constructed No evidence of
x, the pit—was abseived during Deila's site visit on November 8, 1989.
Delta had been asked by 114s. Darlene Reuss of the County to sample the water supply welt with a
bailer otter , to:be removed for service. We have since learned that the pump was
replaced on 19:;Apparently the water level in the well was 68 feet below the surface
i
Practical Solutions to Environmental Conc9rns
„lam -
IBM IMMININE OR
