1 I I N s
Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2005
MEL BOKIDES PETROLEUM, INC. - MOSSDALE
' 444 Mossdale Road, Lathrop, California
' lA. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Nick Bokides of Mel Bokides Petroleum, Inc ,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
' Inc (AGE) has prepared the enclosed report for the former Mel Bokides Petroleum facility located
at 444 Mossdale Road,Lathrop,California(site) The scope of work included gauging and sampling
the on-site ground water monitoring well network, submission of monitoring and analytical data to
the State Water Resources Control Board's GeoTracker information management system, and
preparation of this report The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures, previous soil
borings, and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2
Field work was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board
' (CVRWQCB)and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)guidelines for the
subsurface investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites and ground water monitoring well
sampling procedures, respectively The site history, a description of work previously performed at
' the site with analytical data from the previous investigations, and a site conceptual model are
included in Appendix A
• 2.0. PROCEDURES
I Field procedures were performed in accordance with CVRWQCB guidelines for the investigation
of UST sites and EHD guidelines for the sampling ofgroundwater monitoring wells The procedures
were performed in accordance with the AGE-prepared and EHD-approved Preliminary Site
Assessment Work Plan, dated 15 September 1999
2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 07 November 2005,a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water
in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5 relative to the tops of the well casings After depth to
ground water measurements were obtained, approximately 4 5 to 5 25 gallons ofwater were removed
from wells MW-1 through MW-5 (a minimum of three casing water volumes per well) using
dedicated, disposable bailers Temperature, pH, and conductivity of purged ground water were
measured at regular intervals for stabilization using an Oakton water analyzer Field data sheets are
Iincluded in Appendix B
Purged water was stored on-site in properly labeled,Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved
55-gallon drums pending proper disposal Following purging, the depth to ground water was re-
measured to ensure that a minimum 80%well-volume recharge had been achieved prior to sampling
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
