20 February 2006
• AGE-NC-99-0570
' monitoring event, the top of the ground water table occurred within the screened intervals of the
wells
' Ground water at the site was inferred to be flowing north-northwest under a significant hydraulic
gradient of approximately 0 02 foO/foot(ft/ft) The ground water elevation contours are depicted
on Figure 3
3 2 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
TPH-g was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 and MW-2 at
concentrations of 4,400 micrograms per liter(µg/1) and 1,900 µg/l, respectively
' BTEX compounds were detected in wells MW-1 and MW-2 at maximum concentrations of
5 6 µg/l
benzene (MW-1), 5 3 µg/l toluene (MW-1), 45 µg/l ethylbenzene (MW-2), and 9 7 µg/1 xylenes
' (MW-1) MTBE was detected in well MW-1 at a concentration of 22 µg/l r
No other target analytes were detected at or above laboratory reporting limits in any of the samples
• analyzed Laboratory results of ground water samples are summarized in Table 2 The laboratory
reports(CTEL Project No CT214-0511053),quality assurance/quality control(QA/QC)reports,and
' chain of custody forms are included in Appendix C Documents confirming the upload of laboratory
electronic deliverable format (EDF) files and depth to water measurements to GeoTracker are
included in Appendix D
1
4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
Based on the results ofthe November 2005 monitoring event,AGE draws the following conclusions
' During the November 2005 ground water monitoring event, the relative ground water
elevation ranged from 8 36 feet below MSL to 11 13 feet below MSL The average ground
water elevation was 9 57 feet blow MSL, indicating a decrease of approximately 0 91 feet
' compared to the July 2005 monitoring event
* Ground water at the site was inferred to be flowing north-northwest under a significant
hydraulic gradient of approximately 0 02This flow direction and gradient is similar
to previous monitoring events
Ow
• TPH-g was detected in the ground water samples collected from wells MW-1 and MW-2 at
concentrations of 4,400 µg/1 and 1,900 µg/l, respectively Since TPH-g was not detected in
well MW-5 during the November 2005 ground water monitoring event, the detection of
,i TPH-g in the well in July 2005 was probably due to error in the sampling or analyzing
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
