INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Nick Bokides of Mel Bokides Petroleum Inc ,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, J <br />' Inc (AGE)has prepared the enclosed report for the former Mel Bokides Petroleum facility located <br /> at 444 Mossdale Road, Lathrop, California (the site) The scope of work included gauging and <br />' sampling of the ground water monitoring well network on the site and preparation of this report The <br /> site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures,previous borings and monitoring well locations <br /> are depicted on Figure 2 <br />' The field work was performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board(CVRWQCB)and San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD)guidelines <br />' for subsurface investigations of underground storage tank(UST) sites and ground water monitoring <br /> well sampling procedures,respectively The site history,a description of work previously performed <br /> at the site with analytical data from the previous investigations and a site conceptual model are <br />' summarized Appendix A <br /> r <br />' • <br /> 20 PROCEDURES <br /> On 01 July 2004, ground water monitoring and sampling were performed at the site on wells MW-1 <br />' through MW-5 <br />' 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br />' A Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in monitoring wells <br /> MW-1 through MW-5 After depth to ground water measurements were obtained, approximately 4 <br /> to 5 25 gallons of water were removed from each well(a minimum of 3 casing-water volumes)using <br /> dedicated, disposable bailers Temperature, pH and conductivity of purged ground water were <br />' measured at two or three gallon intervals using an Oakton water analyzer The field data sheets are <br /> included in Appendix B I ` <br />' Purged water was temporarily stored on-site in 55-gallon Department of Transportation (DOT)- <br /> approved drums pending proper disposal Following purging, the depth to ground water was <br />' measured to ensure that a minimum of 80% well-volume recharge had been achieved prior to <br /> sampling <br /> 1 <br /> • <br />' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
