PHASE II ESA WORK PLAN
2731 E. MYRTLE STREET )MESr
STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA PmirownwWSeices&iirtmlogy
Sardee's operations include: offices, metals shop, warehousing and paint booth. Hazardous
materials used and stored and hazardous wastes are generated as part of their operations. The
northern portion of the Site remains undeveloped and unpaved but observations of historical
aerial photos indicate soil movement, vehicle access areas and potential outdoor debris storage
(EDR, 2023).
Previous Site investigations included collection of soil and groundwater samples between
approximately 50 feet and 56 feet below ground surface to characterize potential impacts from
nearby off -Site underground storage tank (USTs) releases. The findings of the previous
investigations did not identify the presence of petroleum products, petroleum -related volatile
organic compounds or metals at levels above laboratory reporting limits or ambient background
levels.
This Work Plan presents a scope of work to characterize identified gaps associated with
historical Site uses. Shallow soil samples (approximately 1 -foot and 3 -feet below ground surface)
will be collected to characterize the potential presence of lead in soil from lead-based paint
associated with the former residential dwellings and outdoor debris storage. Soil gas samples will
be collected at approximately 5 feet below ground surface to characterize the presence of VOCs
associated with hazardous materials and hazardous waste management practices.
2
9123
