This analysis was conducted subsequent to our hazardous waste site <br /> screening (Dames s Moore Job No. 16500-001-003, report dated December 28, <br /> 1987) , in accordance with our proposal dated January 15, 1988. <br /> The purpose of the soil sampling and testing was to assess whether or not <br /> significant hydrocarbon contamination may be present at the site. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICFS <br /> The scope of services performed for this study consist of the following. <br /> These are discussed in more detail in subsequent sections: <br /> - Obtaining samples of the upper foot of soil in four area of dead <br /> vegetation. One sample was obtained from the area where an oily odor <br /> was noted during our initial site visit; <br /> - Analysis of one sample, composited from two samples, for total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons; <br /> - Mapping of approximate locations of areas of dead vegetation on the <br /> Site Plan (attached) ; and, <br /> - Preparation of this letter. <br />
