DECONTAMINATION PLAN <br /> Personnel Decontamination <br /> Consistent with the levels of protection required, step-by-step procedures for personnel decontamination for each Level of <br /> Protection are attached. <br /> Levels of Protection Required for Decontamination Personnel <br /> The levels of protection required for personnel assisting with decontamination will be: <br /> Level B ❑ Level C ® Level D <br /> Modifications include: <br /> Disposition of Decontamination Wastes <br /> Provide a description of waste disposition including identification of storage area, hauler, and final disposal site, if applicable: <br /> Liquid decontamination wastes are placed in drums at the borehole/well/sample location. Drums are closed and labeled, and left <br /> at the location. Eventual disposal will be conducted by the client with assistance from WESTON. <br /> Equipment Decontamination <br /> A procedure for decontamination steps required for non-sampling equipment and heavy machinery follows: <br /> Heavy equipment will be decontaminated using a pressure washer at the borehole/well location. All liquids will be collected in <br /> self-contained decon unit or in troughs and transferred into drums left at the location (sealed and labeled). All equipment will be <br /> subjected to visual inspection before and after each sample location/demob activity. Eventual disposal will be conducted by the <br /> client with assistance from WESTON. <br /> Sampling Equipment Decontamination <br /> Sampling equipment will be decontaminated in accordance with the following procedure: <br /> Sampling equipment will be decontaminated using an alconox and water solution in tubs or buckets at the sample location. <br /> These wastes will be transferred into drums at the sample location.
