�o- ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> Task 1 - Workplan Preparation <br /> The workplan is a formal document that establishes the methods to be employed in the <br /> implementation of the site assessment. <br /> The workplan will include the following: <br /> o Purpose <br /> o Project Scope <br /> U Location of Soil Boring/Groundwater Monitoring Wells <br /> o Soil/Water Sample Collection Procedures <br /> o Methods of Drilling <br /> O Decontamination Procedures <br /> o Chemical Analyses <br /> o Groundwater Elevation Monitoring <br /> o Facility History <br /> o Project Background <br /> o Site Specific Health and Safety Plan <br /> O Schedule <br /> o Personnel <br /> Task 2 - Field Operations <br /> Following approval of the workplan by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB), Thorne Environmental will begin field operations. It is <br /> initially planned to advance three soil borings/groundwater monitoring wells to a depth <br /> of approximately 15 feet. The soil borings will be advanced using a continuous flight <br /> hollow-stem auger. Soil samples will be collected continuously in the vadose zone using <br /> a CME continuous sampler. <br /> Exhibit 1 presents the proposed locations for the soil boring/groundwater monitoring <br /> wells. The soil borings are located to assess the concentration of petroleum compounds <br /> in the soils surrounding the tank excavation, while also being positioned for completion <br /> 11/89 Y89-199 <br />
