(MARK) is pleased to submit this Work Plan and corresponding -Health and Safety Plan-to the Stockton Scavenger Association NORCAL Waste Systems. This :Work Plan "details the scope of work and.. Lmethodologies to be followed-in implementing the Soil Sampling and Analysis Project at-- the Stockton Scavenger Association Site. Back rg ound _- Located at 1240 Navy-Drive in Stockton, the Stockton_ Scavenger Site consists of offices, a transfer station,-maintenance and storage areas, and a stormwater collection pond: A site location map has been- included as Drawing 1. In September of 1992 two diesel, underground storage tanks with a capacities of 10,000 and-7;500 gallons and one gasoline. . Lstorage tank with a-capacity 'of 7,500 gallons were removed -from the subject site. Soil samples were taken from the bottom of the excavation pits and analyzed for petroleum hydrocarbons. The laboratory analyses revealed that petroleum .hydrocarbons existed in the soil as a result of underground storage tank use. .MARK was contacted on October 22, 1992 to develop and implement a preliminary investigation of the potential presence of petroleum hydrocarbons within the soil. -This Work Plan for soil sampling and analysis is the direct response.to that request. This document details the scope of work to be followed and in addition, contains the project.purpose, schedule and a site-specific health and safety r plan.
