Wiping spilled groundwater from all equipment <br /> 2 Changing disposable gloves, clothing or other articles that may <br /> contact sample containers <br /> 3 Preparing chain-of-custody records, sample labels, and other <br /> paperwork <br /> • 4 Organizing sample containers to facilitate accurate, yet efficient, <br /> sampling Place sample containers in ice chest for pre-cooling <br /> 5 Removing the pump and discharge hose from the well <br /> 6 Preparing a thoroughly decontaminated Teflon bailer, with stopcock <br /> and new polypropylene line <br /> Sample labeling, packaging, storage, shipping, as well as preparation of <br /> field blanks, duplicate samples, and chain-of-custody procedures are <br /> described in Section 7.0 <br /> 6 4 7 1 Sampling Procedures - samples will be collected from wells <br /> immediately following purging using a Teflon bailer which has been <br /> decontaminated according to the procedures described in Section 6 4 4 2 or a <br /> dedicated disposable bailer <br /> The following guidelines apply to sampling from a Teflon bailer <br /> o Sampling personnel shall wear new plastic or latex gloves when <br /> . handling the bailer, line, or sample containers <br /> 6-23 <br />
