iurTHE <br /> . .ROUPMARK <br /> ENGINEERS S GEOLOGISTS, INC Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan <br /> SCOPE OF WORK- DRILLING <br /> Summary <br /> The purpose of this work is to expand groundwater monitoring at the site This includes the installation of <br /> three monitoring wells, one located upgradient of the site, one adjacent to the excavation area, and one downgradient <br /> of the site Each well will be drilled to an approximate depth of 45 feet Soil samples will be taken at depths of 5, 15 <br /> and 30 feet Following installation of the monitoring wells, each well will be developed using swabbing, bailing and <br /> pumping techniques Immediately following well development, groundwater samples will be collected <br />' In addition to well installation, the three existing monitoring wells (MW-1(A), MW-2(A), and MW-3(A)) will <br /> be closed This will include back drilling of the wells, removal of emsting well casings, grouting the hole to ground <br /> surface with a clean bentonite/cement mixture and allowance of sufficient time for the grout to dry <br /> Equipment Decontamination Requirements <br /> fie Drilling and soil sampling equipment shall be decontaminated prior to being brought onto the lob site To avoid cross- <br /> contamination between borings, steam cleaning of drill augers, bits and other drilling equipment will be performed on <br /> site Soil samplers will be decontaminated between each use with a Liqumox soap wash Additional MARK <br /> decontamination methods and procedures are in the MARK Group Master Health and Safety Plan, Section 9 0 <br /> r <br />' Permit Requirements <br /> Well installation and well destruction permits for each well are required from the San Joaquin County PublicHealth <br /> Services, Environmental Health Division <br /> Waste Disposal Requirements <br /> iCuttings generated from drilling will be placed on the existing stockpiles of excavated soils <br />
