' 3 0 SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES <br /> Although management has primary responsibility for safety, every MARK employee <br />' must take care to protect his or her own safety and be concerned for the safety of co- <br /> workers and others present on the job site, by performing his or her duties in compliance <br /> with safe working practice and being at all times alert to conditions that might be the cause <br /> of an accident or a danger to health All employees must be ready at all times to correct <br /> and report unsafe conditions to their supervisors <br /> 31 Assignments of Responsibilities <br /> The assignments of responsibility for implementing MARK's health and safety policy, <br /> the requirements of this Master Plan, and the provisions of each Site-specific Health and <br /> Safety Plan are defined as follows <br /> 3 1 1 Project Manager <br /> The Project Manager will have prime responsibility for directing the preparation and <br />' implementation of the Site-specific Health and Safety Plan This will include communicating <br /> all health and safety requirements to all MARK personnel and subcontractors The Site- <br /> specific Health and Safety Plan should receive a review by the Manager of Technology, <br />' Managing Principal, or the Corporate Health and Safety Officer <br /> For projects to which a Project Superintendent is assigned, implementation of the Site- <br /> specific Health and Safety Plan in the field will be the responsibility of the Project <br /> Superintendent (see Section 3 1 2) Depending upon the scope of the project or the <br /> health and safety issues raised by the characteristics of the work, the Project Manager may <br /> iserve in the capacity of Project Safety Officer (see Section 3 1 3) If a Project Safety Officer <br /> 1 <br /> 3-1 REV 4/92-EGI <br /> Illi <br />
