Hazelton Ave.
Stockton, CA 95201 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
q PERMIT/SERVICES
Dear David:
The following report is in regards to the soil contamination inves-
tigation conducted at the Stockton scavenger trucking facility in
Stockton, CA on July 20-21, 1988. The work was performed in confor-
mance with BMI's May 22, 19863 workplan which was submitted to your
department and subsequently approved. The soils investigation rep-
resents the first phase of the site characterization with the instal-
lation of the groundwater monitoring wells to commence upon your ap-
proval of their locations. The suggested remedial action for the
contaminated soils is included for your review at which time we can
discuss its appropriateness and timing.
As a result of the potential for affecting beneficial use of the
state's groundwater, a copy of this report has been sent to Mr.
Gordon Boggs of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
1 Board. Comments from his department will be solicited and sugges-
tions for remedial actions will be incorporated into the work plan
if deemed appropriate by BMI and your agency.
Biosystems Management International a;1d Stockton Scavenger are look-
ing forward to working with your department to obtain a timely res-
olution to the aforementioned matters. If there are any questions
concerning the enclosed material or additional information you re-
quire please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
( l Comer
AUG ? 5 1988
Michael A.
