Figure I (attached) shows the locations of <br /> the 11 sites. The work plan describes the historical activities at each of the sites and proposes to drill <br /> borings at each site in order to sample sod and groundwater. Temporary wells will be constructed or a <br /> hydropunch-type sampling device will be used to obtain grab groundwater samples at each boring <br /> location. Soil and groundwater will be analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons measured as <br /> and diesel, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes and glycol compounds. <br /> The work plan is hereby approved. In accordance with the proposed schedule, technical reports for the <br /> I 1 sites will be submitted by 16 May 1997. Please provide at least 72 hours notice prior to field <br /> activities in case I wish to observe the field methods or obtain split samples. <br /> If you have any questions, you may call me at (916) 255-3077. <br /> iELM.
