Box 29 <br /> Ripon, CA 95366 <br /> Subject: Request for Permission to Enter Nelson Ready Mix Sand and Gravel <br /> located at 2059 Navy Drive in Stockton, California for <br /> Well Decommissioning Activities <br /> Project No. 90189N <br /> Dear Mr. Nelson: <br /> This letter is a request for written permission to enter the Nelson Ready Mix Sand & Gravel <br /> property located at 2059 Navy Drive in Stockton, California. Woodward-Clyde has been <br /> retained by the Tandy Corporation (parent company to the former Lika Corporation) to <br /> decommission the four groundwater monitoring wells located at the southeast corner of your <br /> property. The four groundwater monitoring wells (MW-6, MW-14, MW-14D, and MW-30) <br /> will be abandoned in place by pressure grouting methods. <br /> In our phone conversation on May 22, 1995, you requested certificates of insurance from <br /> Woodward-Clyde and our drilling subcontractor, Spectrum Exploration. The requested items <br /> are attached to this letter. To finalize the permitting process required by San Joaquin County, <br /> a letter from you, to Ms. Diane Hinson, San Joaquin County, Environmental Health Division, <br /> P. O. Box 2009, 445 North San Joaquin Street, Stockton, California, 95201, stating that <br /> Nelson Ready Mix has been notified by Woodward-Clyde regarding the well <br /> decommissioning, and will allow Woodward-Clyde to conduct the planned work on Nelson <br /> Ready Mix's property. The well decomissioning will be conducted under San Joaquin <br /> County Well Permit No. 006052.
