Woodward-Clyde
Consultants
Anthony J. Landis
Department of Toxic Substances Control
December 21, 1992
Project No. 90189N
Page 3
A summary of the analytical results for the groundwater samples collected during the ninth
quarter from the four monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2, MW-6 and MW-30) is presented on
Table 1. A copy of the analytical report is attached.
The dissolved copper and dissolved lead concentrations for each sample were below the
detection limit of the analyses.
GROUNDWATER MONITORING PROGRAM - ENTIRE PROGRAM
Quarterly groundwater samples were collected from seven monitoring wells (MW-1, MW-2,
MW-4, MW-6, MW-14, MW-15 and MW-30) during the past two years (nine quarters).
The analytical results (specific conductance and total dissolved solids) remained relatively
consistent throughout the monitoring program.
The dissolved copper concentration for the samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1,
MW-2, MW-4, MW-6 and MW-30 for each quarter during the monitoring program was
below the detection limit of the analysis. The dissolved copper concentration for the samples
collected from monitoring wells MW-14 and MW-15 ranged from <0.020 to 0.55 mg/l and
<0.020 to 0.094 mg/l, respectively. The dissolved copper concentration for the samples
collected from monitoring wells MW-14 and MW-15 remained relatively consistent
throughout the monitoring program. The dissolved copper concentration from monitoring
wells MW-14 and MW-15 was not observed to be increasing or decreasing throughout the
monitoring program.
The dissolved lead concentration for the samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1,
MW-2, MW-4, MW-6, MW-15 and MW-30 for each quarter was below the detection limit
of the analysis. The dissolved lead concentration for the samples collected from monitoring
well MW-14 ranged from <0.0050 to 0.018 mg/l. Dissolved lead was detected from the
samples collected from monitoring well MW-14 on October 31, 1990 (0.010 mg/1) and
October 15, 1991 (0.018 mg/1). The dissolved lead concentration for the samples collected
from monitoring well MW-14 remained relatively consistent (near the detection limit of the
analysis) throughout the monitoring program. The lead concentration from monitoring well
MW-14 was not observed to be either increasing or decreasing throughout the monitoring
90189N/9QUARTER/12-21-92 SAC
