TECh Hiqh ENTERPRiSESD
I November 2004 NO V 0 2 2004
To: Mr. Girish Patel eNVIRONMENT HEALTH
St. Francis Motel PERMIT/SERVICES
5708 North Highway 99 Frontage Road
Stockton, CA 95212
(209) 931-3341
From: Edward W. Finucane, PE, QEP, CSP, CIH
Subject: Report#041101-L-F, concerning the measured levels of toxic chemicals in the water well
located on the property identified as:
St. Francis Motel
5708 North Highway 99 Frontage Road
Stockton, CA 95212
Sampling of the contents of the water well (at the well head) on the property listed above was com-
pleted on 28 July 2004. The analyses of the samples obtained were completed sometime prior to 8
September 2004 by Precision Enviro-Tech Analytical Laboratory of Stockton, CA, the company that
had obtained the samples and maintained a proper chain of custody on them.
The certified results of their analyses have been included in the Appendix to this Report. These
analyses have been identified as Precision Enviro-Tech Analytical Laboratory ID No. 4072844-01.
In every case, only ND (non detectable) or 0.00µg/liter concentration levels for each analyte were
determined.
The analyses accomplished by Precision Enviro-Tech Analytical Laboratory included the following
three:
1. Purgeable Organic Compounds (EPA Method 524.2), an analytical method that employs a
combination gas chromatograph/mass spectrometric analyzer and provides analyses for a to-
tal of 81 distinct volatile organics. Typical minimum detection levels range from 0.50 pg/liter
to 10.0 pg/liter. As stated above, none of the 81 analytes was determined to be in the drinking
water sample.
2. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons—gasoline range—using again a combination gas chromato-
graph/mass spectrometer and focusing on aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons with fewer
than 9 or 10 carbon atoms per molecule. Also as stated above, this analysis indicated that none
of this class of hydrocarbons was present in the sample.
3. Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons—diesel range—using again a combination gas chromatograph
/mass spectrometer and focusing on aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons with greater than 10
carbon atoms per molecule. Also as stated above, this analysis indicated that none of this class
of hydrocarbons was present in the sample.
Please note that the units of concentration for the various analytes in each of the analyses completed
by Precision Enviro-Tech Analytical Laboratory have been reported as "Vg/liter", a unit that is, in
effect, micrograms per kilogram, or,basically,Darts per billion by weigh or mass. Viewing these re-
sults from this perspective, it is clear that Saint Francis Motel water well is completely free of any
dangerous contamination.
Should you have any questions on any of the data, or the conclusions of this Report, please do not
hesitate to contact me. Thank you very much for permitting me to be of service to you in this matter.
Sincerely,
"/w j"
Edward W.
