The aggregate base and asLphalt concrete materials should conform
to the specifications stated in Sections 26 and 39 , respectively,
of the State of California Standard Specifications, latest
edition.
5 . The pavement section recommendations assume that periodic maintenance
of pavements, including sealing of cracks, will be done.
6. All curbs surrounding landscape areas, should be embedded at least
6 inches below subgrade to minimize the movement of moisture beneath
pavements.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
The review of plans and specifications, field observations, and testing by Kleinfelder,
Inc. are an integral part of the conclusions and recommendations made in this report.
If Kleinfelder, Inc. is not retained for these services, the client agrees to assume
Kleinfelder, Inc.'s responsibility for any potential claims that may arise during
construction. The required tests, observations, and consultation by Kleinfelder, Inc.
during construction includes, but is not necessarily limited to:
1 . Continuous observation and testing during site preparation
and grading and placement of Engineered Fill.
2 . Observation of foundation excavations prior to placement
of reinforcing steel.
3. Consultation as required during construction.
The above listed testing and observations would be additional services provided by our
firm . The costs for these services are not included in our current fee arrangements.
