STANDARD REQUIREMENTS SD-92-137 PAGE TWO (g) Public Sewer and Water. In urban centers, both the proposed second unit dwelling and the existing single family dwelling shall connect to a public sewage disposal system and to a public water system; (h) Other Codes. The second unit dwelling shall conform with all the requirements of the Local Health District and the County that are applicable to residential units in the zone in which the property is located; (i) Requirements for Mobilehomes. If the second unit dwelling is a mobilehome, the following additional requirements shall apply: (1) Additions. No permanent room additions shall be allowed, but patio covers constructed of the same materials as the mobilehome shall be permitted; (2) Skirting. Skirting constructed of the same materials as the mobilehome shall be installed; (3) Time Limit. The Second Unit Dwelling Permit shall be effective for not more than three (3) years. Applications for renewal shall follow the same procedures, be subject to the same requirements, and pay the same fees as a new application for a Second Unit Dwelling Permit; (4) Construction Standards. The mobilehome shall be constructed to meet the minimum standards of the National Manufactured Housing Construction and Safety Act of 1974 . (5) A transportation permit will be required. BUILDING INSPECTION DIVISION (1) Obtain a mobilehome installation permit. PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES (1) Construct an individual sewage disposal system(s) under a permit and inspection by the Environmental Health Division at the time of development. (2) The well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health Division as follows: Eliminate the cross connection on the agricultural well by either routing discharge pipe over the top of standpipe and providing an air gap twice the diameter of the discharge pipe, or installing a county approved backflow valves.
