KEI-J92-0205.R4
July 6, 1994
Page 8
contaminants detected in this well are not the results Of
Unocal' s former operations at the site.
Therefore, in summary, any significant ground water contamina-
tion detected at the Unocal site is most likely the result of
activities at ad3acent sites, rather than past activities
involving underground storage tanks at the former Unocal
facility.
RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the analytical results of all of the soil and ground water
samples collected and evaluated to date (the results that are
available to KEI) , and based on the conclusions discussed above, it
does not appear that further delineation or remediation work is
warranted at the former Unocal facility. Therefore, KEI recommends
that Unocal request case closure from the SJCPHS and the RWQCB for
this former bulk plant facility.
DISTRIBUTION
A copy of this report should be sent to the Port of Stockton, to
• Mr. Harlin Knoll of the SJCPHS, and to Mr. Philip S. Isorena of the
RWQCB, Central Valley Region.
