Analytes
were not detected at or above laboratory method reporting limits (MRLs) in any of
the trip blanks.
o Equipment Blanks: Two equipment blanks were collected (QCEB-1 and
QCEB-2) on February 7, 2006. None of the analytes were detected at or above
laboratory MRLs in any of the equipment blanks.
• General Laboratory Notes: The method reporting limit for TPHd was increased due to
• interference from gasoline-range hydrocarbons for samples TS-8, AR/MW-1A.
AR/MW-50, AR/MW-24, and TO/R-1. Hydrocarbons reported as TPHd did not exhibit a
typical diesel chromatographic pattern for samples TS-1 and AR/MW-11A. The method
reporting limit for ethanol was increased due to the presence of an interfering compound
for sample AR/MW-12A. The method reporting limit for methanol was increased due to
the presence of an interfering compound for samples TONT-1 and TONT-2. TBA results
for sampleTO/T-1 may be biased slightly high and are flagged with a U. A fraction of
MTBE (typically less than one percent converts to TBA during the analysis of water
samples. The laboratory considers this conversion effect to be mathematically
significant in samples that contain MTBE/TBA in ratios of over 20:1.
• Duplicate Samples (QCDUP): SECOR collected a duplicate sample from well
SP/WC-1S (labeled QCDUP-2). A comparison of the analytical results is presented
below.
Analyte Sample # Sample # % Difference
SP/WC-1S QCDUP-2
TPHd (p b) <50 <50 00
TPH (ppb) <50 <5p o
0/o
Benzene b <0.50
MTBE ppb) 0.51
0.55 7.2%
4.3 "A" Zone SPH and Hydrocarbon Concentration Trends
Measurable SPH or a visible sheen has historically been reported during at least one monitoring
event in fourteen "A" zone wells that are currently part of the MRP (AR/MW-3A, AR/MW-8A,
STTC 1Q06 Final Report 6 May 1,2006
770T.43673.12.0002
