SECOR
• General Laboratory Notes: For sample AR/MW-11 B, hydrocarbons reported as TPHd
did not exhibit a typical diesel chromatographic pattern.
5.3 "B" Zone SPH and Hydrocarbon Concentration Trends
SPH has historically not been reported in the "B" zone wells. Dissolved TPHg, TPHd, benzene,
and MTBE concentrations in the "B" zone were within historical ranges during the first quarter
2006 with the exception of the following:
• In the first quarter 2006, samples from the following wells contained historically high
concentrations at the indicated levels:
o Well AR/MW-1B contained MTBE at a concentration of 170 pg/L (historically
ranged from <20 pg/L to 90 pg/L).
o Well AR/MW-11B contained MTBE at a concentration of 270 pg/L (historically
ranged from 0.67 pg/L to 240 pg/L).
o Well AR/MW-14B containedlMTBE at a concentration of 1,100 pg/L (historically
ranged from 5.1 pg/L to 72 pg/L) and TPHd at a concentration of 1,300 pg/L
(historically ranged from <50 to 1,100).
o Well PS/MW-20 contained MTBE at a concentration of 24 pg/L (historically
ranged from <0.5 pg/L to 4.8.pg/L)
• As reported for the "A" zone wells, dissolved hydrocarbon concentrations in the "B" zone tend to
increase during times of higher groundwater elevations and decrease during times of lower
groundwater elevations. Concentration increases and decreases for the analytes TPHg, TPHd,
benzene, and MTBE for first quarter 2006 relative to the fourth quarter 2005 are presented in
the table below.
Constituent Wells Concentrations Increased Nurnber of Wells Concentrations Decreased Number of
Wells Wells
Concert- Concen-
trations trations
Increased Decreased
AR/MW-1 B, AR/MW-96, AR/MW-18B
TPH AR/MW-116, AR/MW-14B, 7 1
9 PSANC-1M, TO/WC-2B,
TS/MW-1 B
AR/MW-1 B, AR/MW-6B, AR/MW-9B, AR/MW-18B,
TPHd AR/MW-11 B, AR/MW-14B, 8 TO/WC-1M 3
PS/WC-1M, SP/WC-1M,
TO/WC-2B, TS/MW-1 B
AR/MW-1 B, AR/MW-9B, AR/MW-11B, AR/MW-18B
AR/MW-12B, AR/MW-14B,
Benzene AR/MW-18B, PS/WCAM, 8 2
TO/WC-2B, TS/MW-1 B
AR/MW-1 B, AR/MW-6B, OW-413, TS/MW-1 B
AR/MW-11 B, AR/MW-14B,
MTBE AR/MW-21 B, PS/MW-20, 9 2
PS/WC-1 M, TO/WC-1 M,
• TO/WC-2B
STTC 1Q06 Final Report 10 May 1,2006
770T.43673.12.0002
