SECOR
for ethanol was increased due to the presence of an interfering compound for sample
AR/MW-11 C.
6.3 "C" Zone SPH and Hydrocarbon Concentration Trends
SPH has historically not been reported in the "C' zone wells. Dissolved TPHg, TPHd, benzene,
and MTBE concentrations in the "C" zone were within historical ranges during the first quarter
2006 with the exception of the following:
• In the first quarter 2006, samples from the following wells contained historically low
concentrations at the indicated levels:
o Benzene was not detected in well TS/MW-1C above the laboratory MRL of 0.50
pg/L. The lowest previous detection of benzene in well TS/MW-1C was 0.93
pg/L in May 2005.
o Well AR/MW-8C contained Denzene at a concentration of 10 pg/L. This is the
lowest concentration of ber zene reported in AR/MW-8C since February 2002
when it was reported below he laboratory MRL of 0.50 pg/L. AR/MW-8C did not
contain TPHg above the laboratory MRL of 50 pg/L. TPHg has not been non-
detect in this well since Febr jary 2002.
Concentration increases and decreases for the analytes TPHg, TPI-Id, benzene, and MTBE, for
• the first quarter 2006 relative to the fourth quarter 2005, are presented in the table below.
Constituent Wells Concentrations Increased Number of Wells Concentrations Decreased Number of
Wells Wells
Concentrations Concentrations
Increased Decreased
AR/MW-8C, AR/MW-13C,
TPHg AR/MW-11C, AR/MW-12C 2 AR/MW-18C, OW-9C, 5
TS/MW-1C
AR/MW-8C, AR/MW-12C,
AR/MW-13C, AR/MW-14C,
Tl AR/MW-11C 1 AR/MW-18C, AR/MW-21 C, 10
OW-3C, OW-9C,
TO/WCAC, TS/MW-1C
AR/MW-11 C, AR/MW-12C, AR/MW-8C, AR/MW-13C,
3 AR/MW-18C, AR/MW-21 C, 6
Benzene AR/MW-11C
OW-9C, TS/MW-1C
MTBE AR/MW-11 C, AR/MW-12C, 3 AR/MW-18C, TS/MW-1C 2
AR/MW-13C
Duplicate Samples (QCDUP): SECOR collected duplicate samples from wells
AR/MW-14C (labeled QCDUP-1) and TS/MW-1C (labeled QCDUP-3).
