SECCR
7.0 "D" ZONE
7.1 "D" Zone Groundwater Gradient
Groundwater elevations in the "D" zone wells ranged from 4.91 feet below MSL in well 0W-8D
to 0.97 feet below MSL in well TO/WC-2D. Regional groundwater flow in the "D" zone during
the first quarter 2006 was to the east-southeast at an approximate hydraulic gradient of 0.003
ft/ft (Table 3). A groundwater elevation contour map for the "D" zone on February 6, 2006 is
presented as Figure 17.
7.2 "D" Zone Groundwater Quality Data
During the first quarter 2006, groundwater samples were collected from seven "D" zone wells
between February 6 and February 9, 2006 (Table 1). "D" zone TPHg, TPHd, benzene, and
MTBE isoconcentration maps are attached as Figures 18, 19, 20, and 21, respectively.
Analytical results are presented in Tables 4I and 5, and are summarized below.
• SPH: During this quarter, SPH wasilnot reported in any of the seven "D" zone wells.
• Analytic I Results Summa :
•
Number of Number of Minimum Maximum
Detections
Wells Concentration in Concentration in
Constituents Analyzed ab ve he Ng/L (Well ID) pg/L (Well ID)
TPHg 7 3 70 (TS/MW-5D) 9,200 (TS/MW-2D)
TPHd 7 5 66 (TO/WC-2D) 1,800 (TS/MW-2D)
Benzene 7 6 0.74 (OW-5D) 3,000 (TS/MW-2D)
Toluene 7 1 --- 22 (TS/MW-2D)
Ethylbenzene 7 1 --- 67 (TS/MW-2D)
Xylenes 7 1 --- 95 (TS/MW-2D)
MTBE 7 3 1.2 (TO/WC-2D) 19 (TS/MW-2D)
TBA 3 3 7.6 (OW-5D) 920 (TS/MW-2D)
DIPE — - —
TAME — --- --- ---
ETBE --- — --- ---
Ethanol --- --- --- ---
Methanol --- ---
Definitions:
MRL = Method Reporting Limit
pg/L = Micrograms per Liter
=
Not applicable
•
STTC IQ06 Final Report 14 May 1,2006
770T.43673.12.0002
